Our last meeting of the semester will be on April 22. For those who are interested in running for an officer position, please send an email to Chris Pirko about what you are running for and why you are running for that position. Your submissions will be displayed on our website so our members can learn about your platform.

Members please keep in mind that ALL of our meetings this semester will take place in Sumwalt 305, not in PSC where we usually have been. As a reminder, all interested applicants are welcome to attend meetings. Our next meeting will be on February 12th at 6:30pm. Check for more announcements on our facebook page!

The Spring application deadline has been posted. Interested candidates should submit an application soon! Also, AED will be co-sponsoring this year's SC Pre-Med Conference! More details can be found on the members page, or on our facebook.

The memebrs page has been updated with information regarding the upcoming inductions. Remember that we have a meeting this Sunday at 6:30pm in PSC 002. Jennifer Glover-Hawkins form the Free Medical Clinic will be speaking about volunteer opportunities as well as training our members during the meeting so they can serve at the Free Medical Clinic. This will be a useful meeting to come out to, see everyone there!

The deadline for Fall applications has been set to September 25. We will be notifying applicants of their status over the next few weeks. Remember that accepted applicants from last Spring will be formally inducted with the class from this Fall. Information regarding the induction ceremony will be posted on this website shortly.

Our first meeting will be this Sunday in PSC 002 at 6:30. Eileen Korpita will be speaking along with a group of medical school students from USC SOM. Everyone is welcome to attend!

The Pre-Professional Health Honor Society

Alpha Epsilon Delta in the national health pre-professional honor society dedicated to the encouragement and recognition of excellence in pre-professional health scholarship. We have bi-monthly chapter meetings that feature guest speakers from major health fields, including medical and dental specialists, healthcare administrators, and admissions directors from local medical colleges. We offer opportunities for group volunteering and community service, and provide a great social networking forum for students with common interests. As a pre-professional honor society, AED functions to enhance students' understanding of the medical/dental fields while striving to make them more competitive applicants to their respective professional schools.
